Recap: Charleston Collegiate Sundevils vs. John Paul II Golden Warrriors
After flying high against the Cross Schools Stingrays last Thursday, the Charleston Collegiate Sundevils came back down to earth. Charleston Collegiate was outmatched by John Paul II on the road and fell 78-50. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Charleston Collegiate in their matchups with John Paul II: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Charleston Collegiate still got an impressive performance from Grant Morrison, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 assists. Morrison is absolutely dominating the assist category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Aaron Jaques, who scored 8 points along with 12 rebounds.
Charleston Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for John Paul II, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Charleston Collegiate will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Crown Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th. As for John Paul II, they will square off against Battery Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
