Football Recap: North Forsyth Comes Up Short + How To Watch

North Forsyth had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it five. They were dealt a 41-6 loss at the hands of the Mount Tabor Spartans. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

Cyncere Goff threw for 54 yards on nine of 20 attempts. Karon Lindsay was his top target, picking up 32 receiving yards. On the ground, Eric Archie Jr rushed for 40 yards.

As for Mount Tabor, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-4. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to yards per carry: they averaged an imposing 7.73 yards per carry in those games compared to only 3.53 in the others.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mount Tabor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayden Muhfooth Smith, who rushed for 64 yards and one TD, and also picked up 60 receiving yards and one score. Another passer making a difference was Kingston Brown, who threw for 207 yards and one touchdown on only 18 passes.

North Forsyth wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 35-0 defeat against Glenn on the 17th. As for Mount Tabor, they have also already played their next matchup, a 52-42 loss against Oak Grove on the 17th.
