Highland had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Sedgwick County Cougars. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won nine matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

Highland got a massive performance out of Sawyer Morgan, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Morgan continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was DJ Rogers, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.

Highland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .759. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sedgwick County only posted an OBP of .278.

Highland's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Sedgwick County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.

Highland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 victory against Lyons on the 3rd. As for Sedgwick County, they will venture away from home to challenge Holyoke at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars are facing the Dragons at the right time seeing as the Dragons are stuck on a 19-game losing streak.
