Softball Recap: Yonkers Takes a Loss

After flying high against Riverside on Monday, Yonkers came back down to earth. The Bulldogs came up short against the Yonkers Montessori Academy Eagles on Tuesday, falling 17-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 11-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Leila Campbell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Yonkers dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Yonkers will face off against Barack Obama School for Social Justice at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Yonkers Montessori Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
