Dodgeville has gone 9-1 against Platteville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Thursday. The Dodgers will be playing at home against the Hillmen  at 5:00  p.m. Dodgeville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Dodgeville barely beat River Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dodgers blew past the Blackhawks 9-1 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  victory the Dodgers have posted  against the Blackhawks since April 14, 2023.

 Ava Lord spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Olivia Forsyth was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and three  runs. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in April of 2024.  Emma Dougherty was another key player,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with three  runs and two  doubles.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Platteville's offense. They took  a  5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Prairie du Chien on Tuesday. The Hillmen haven't had much luck with the Blackhawks recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
 Platteville also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in:  Kennedy Shea gave up four earned  (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.
 Dodgeville's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Platteville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
Platteville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Dodgeville hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .325. It's a different story for Platteville, though, as  they've  only  averaged .227. Will they be able to contain Dodgeville's hitters?
 Dodgeville came out on top in a nail-biter against Platteville in their previous matchup  back in April, sneaking past  3-2. Will the Dodgers repeat their success,  or do  the Hillmen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
