Soccer Recap: Irvine Triumphs

Irvine kept a clean sheet against Sage Hill on Wednesday. They skirted past the Sage Hill Lightning 1-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 1-0 on January 7th.

Irvine now has a winning record of 7-6-2. As for Sage Hill, they dropped their record down to 1-11-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Irvine will square off against Portola at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Irvine's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Sage Hill, they will take on Woodbridge at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
