Parkway lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Airline, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Vikings on Thursday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Parkway's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-15. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Airline, their loss dropped their record down to 14-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Parkway will face off against rival Natchitoches Central at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Airline is set to square off against their familiar foe Benton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 4, the Tigers 1.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
