Baseball Recap: Marshalltown Takes a Loss

After flying high against Des Moines North on Monday, Marshalltown came back down to earth. The Bobcats came up short against the Des Moines East Scarlets on Thursday, falling 11-3. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Scarlets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Marshalltown's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Des Moines East, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Scarlets beat Marshalltown by a score of 15-1 later that day.
