Baseball Recap: Walled Lake Western Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Walled Lake Western's offense. They came up short against the Lakeland Eagles on Saturday, falling 10-0. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Walled Lake Western saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mickey Gross, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Walled Lake Western's loss dropped their record down to 9-9-2. As for Lakeland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5-1 record this season.

Lakeland will challenge Clarkston at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Walled Lake Western will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' matchup: after the Eagles face off against the Wolves, they'll take on Walled Lake Western again at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
