Basketball Recap: Thornridge Takes a Loss

Thornridge lost against Thornton back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Falcons were beaten by the Wildcats 69-37. The contest marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Thornton found their leader in freshman Dakari Nesbitt, who shot 65% from the field en route to 30 points in addition to eight assists and five boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nesbitt has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kobe Stevenson, who posted ten points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.

Thornridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Thornton, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Thornridge will take on Belvidere North in a tournament on Saturday. As for Thornton, they have already played their next game, a 62-51 loss against Curie on the 20th.
