Baseball Recap: Alleghany Takes a Loss

Alleghany lost against Floyd County back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cougars took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buffaloes.

Alleghany's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Floyd County, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-7.

Looking ahead, Alleghany will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilson Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Floyd County will be paying especially close attention to the Cougars' matchup: after the Cougars face off against Glenvar, they'll take on Floyd County again at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
