Volleyball Game Preview: Vasquez Mustangs vs. Rosemead Panthers

Vasquez is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Rosemead is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vasquez will be strutting in after a victory while Rosemead will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, Vasquez got the win against Palmdale Academy Charter School by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won three in a row.

Vasquez's got stronger as the match went on, holding Palmdale Academy Charter School to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Rosemead unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak last Friday. They came up short against Gabrielino, falling 3-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

While Rosemead was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21, 25-18.

Vasquez's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Rosemead, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 11-3.
