Basketball Recap: Valley Takes a Loss

Valley lost against LaFayette back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Valley Rams lost to the LaFayette Bulldogs at home by a 57-38 margin. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Valley still got an impressive performance from Jayden Weaver, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 18 points along with eight boards and three steals. Weaver is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games he's played. Galvin Goss was another key player, putting up six points and six boards.

Even though they lost, Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matchups.

Valley's record now sits at 6-11. As for LaFayette, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-12.

Valley will challenge Booker T. Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Booker T. Washington has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. LaFayette does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
