Soccer Recap: Calvary Christian Takes a Loss

Calvary Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Shining Light Academy Knights who were credited with the win. The Shining Light Academy Knights got it done in the shootout by posting two goals to the Calvary Christian Cougar's one. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Shining Light Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on September 2nd.

Calvary Christian now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Shining Light Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian will venture away from home to face off against Mount Calvary Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Shining Light Academy, they will face off against Raleigh Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
