Softball Recap: Sierra Pacific Extends Winning Streak to Six

Sierra Pacific had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Central Valley Christian Cavaliers. The Golden Bears' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Miranda Reyes was a standout: she scored three runs while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Anaya Zaragoza was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

Sierra Pacific always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Sierra Pacific pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Central Valley Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sierra Pacific will head out to challenge Hanford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Central Valley Christian, they will challenge Exeter at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
