Baseball Recap: Marshalltown Comes Up Short

Marshalltown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Mason City Mohawks, falling 6-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mohawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 on Friday.

Marshalltown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Mason City, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshalltown will face off against Des Moines North at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mason City, they will be playing at home against Ottumwa at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mohawks are on a seven-game streak of home wins, the Bulldogs a five-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
