Flintridge Prep was sadly handed a loss on Thursday, but Will Grable did his best to prevent it. Grable turned in nothing short of a gem, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Grable and Flintridge Prep will square off against Chadwick at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Dolphins thanks in part to Grable: he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
