Football Recap: JSerra Catholic Takes a Loss + How To Watch

JSerra Catholic came into this matchup off a tough 35-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Damien Spartans by a score of 34-31 on Friday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Damien's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Arriaza, who threw for 414 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a pair of TDs on the ground. Those 414 passing yards gave Arriaza a new career-high. 213 of Arriaza's passing yards were hauled in by Eric Osorio, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

JSerra Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Damien, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, JSerra Catholic will take on Kamehameha Kapalama at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Damien, they will challenge St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
