Baseball Recap: Randle Takes a Loss

Randle fell victim to Victoria East and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Victoria East Titans, falling 11-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 last Tuesday.

Randle saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Gonzales, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. The dominant performance gave Gonzales a new career-high in hits.

Randle is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8-2. As for Victoria East, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Randle will square off against Victoria West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Victoria West's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Randle's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Victoria East, they will take on Jones at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
