Basketball Game Preview: East Mountain Timberwolves vs. Bosque Bobcats

East Mountain is 0-10 against Bosque since May of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The East Mountain Timberwolves will challenge the Bosque Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Bosque took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on East Mountain, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, East Mountain beat Cuba 59-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Timberwolves.

Meanwhile, Bosque came up short against Sandia Prep on Tuesday and fell 51-42.

East Mountain will need focus on slowing down Owen Custer, one of several Bosque players who made an impact when they last played. He posted ten points. Those ten points gave Custer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Wilson, who had ten points and four steals.

East Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points per game. As for Bosque, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 13-6.

Things could have been worse for East Mountain, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-44 loss to Bosque when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can East Mountain avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
