Baseball Recap: Rancho Buena Vista Comes Up Short

Rancho Buena Vista had lost four straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 5-13 to make it five. They came up short against the Vista Panthers, falling 10-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Longhorns have suffered since March 22nd.

Rancho Buena Vista saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Fanelli, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

As for Vista, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win they have posted against Rancho Buena Vista since June 1, 2021.

On Vista's side, Seth Coleman looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Coleman has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Tyler Lee was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Salazar, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
