Recap: Lakeland Christian Vikings vs. Discovery Spartans
The Lakeland Christian Vikings can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They breezed by Discovery at home to the tune of 66-26. Lakeland Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Eleni Katzaras was her usual excellent self, going 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Collette Zavada, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Lakeland Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Discovery, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-10.
Lakeland Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Mulberry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mulberry has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 175 points over their last three games. As for Discovery, Discovery and Sebring will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
