Softball Recap: Malakoff Takes a Loss

On Wednesday, the Malakoff Tigers came up short against the Edgewood Bulldogs and fell 5-2. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Malakoff's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5-1. As for Edgewood, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6-1 record this season.

Malakoff will challenge Eustace at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Malakoff's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Eustace's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Edgewood, they will be playing at home against Grand Saline at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Edgewood: 3.4, Grand Saline: 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
