Basketball Recap: Central Victorious

Central hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost four straight) but thanks in part to Audrey Lafleur that streak is no more. The Central Rockets took down the McHenry Warriors 42-27 on Friday thanks in part to Lafleur, who posted ten points along with six boards and five assists. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played.

Julia Scheuer was another key player, putting up five points along with nine boards and five assists. Those nine boards gave her a new career-high.

Central's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for McHenry, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Cary-Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for McHenry, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Round Lake at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
