Soccer Recap: South Comes Up Short

South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the El Segundo Eagles. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in January.

South's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for El Segundo, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-4-1.

South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for El Segundo, they will square off against Palos Verdes at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
