Volleyball Recap: Tompkins Beats Mayde Creek for Their Tenth Straight Win

Tompkins had won nine straight games and Lainey Monroe did her part to make it ten on Tuesday. Everything went the Falcons' way against the Mayde Creek Rams as they made off with a 3-0 victory for which the team can thank Monroe, who had 15 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Tompkins walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-16, 25-19.

Tompkins' victory bumped their record up to 29-5. As for Mayde Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-21 record this season.

Coincidentally, Tompkins and Mayde Creek will both be playing Morton Ranch the next time they take the court. The Falcons will head out to face the Mavericks at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Rams will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
