Clinton County took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Wayne County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs skirted past the Cardinals 4-3.

The team relied heavily on Tucker Casada, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Clinton County is 11-3 when Casada posts two or more runs, but 9-11 otherwise. Tytan Moons was another key player, earning one run and three stolen bases.

Clinton County's victory bumped their record up to 20-14. As for Wayne County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-10.
