Basketball Recap: Clover Blue Eagles vs. Northwestern Trojans
Clover lost against Northwestern back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Clover Blue Eagles were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 64-63 to the Northwestern Trojans. The Blue Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clover's loss came despite strong showings from Jayden Parks and J'Shon Watson. Parks went 5 of 8 on his way to 18 points, while Watson went 5 for 8 en route to 15 points. Those 18 points gave Parks a new career-high. Rico Hickman also deserves some recognition as he posted his first blocks of the season.
Josh Singleton was a one-man wrecking crew for Northwestern as he went 7 for 10 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Joseph Owusu-Mensah, who posted eight points and ten boards.
Clover's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Northwestern, their record now sits at 4-9.
Clover has already played their next game, a 50-47 win against Varsity Opponent on the 9th. As for Northwestern, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-37 defeat against Fort Mill on the 9th.
