Soddy Daisy entered their tilt with Sequoyah on Friday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Sequoyah Chiefs a 6-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Soddy Daisy pushed their record up to 9-4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Sequoyah, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-1.

Coming up, Soddy Daisy will face off against Chattanooga Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sequoyah, they have already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Eagleton College & Career Academy on the 17th.
