Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Battle Mountain). They blew past the Incline Highlanders 27-14 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Longhorns, who have now won seven matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Battle Mountain let Jazmin Johnson and Addison Matheus run wild. Johnson got on base in all six of her plate appearances with five runs, seven RBI, and two stolen bases, while Matheus went 4-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two triples. Another player making a difference was Ella Moore, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Battle Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Incline, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Battle Mountain will have a chance to go back-to-back against Incline: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
