Basketball Recap: Kenai Central Comes Up Short

Kenai Central lost against Homer back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Kenai Central Kardinals fell 64-55 to the Homer Mariners.

Kenai Central's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Homer, their victory bumped their record up to 6-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenai Central won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ninilchik at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ninilchik knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Kenai Central likes a good challenge. As for Homer, they will square off against Nikiski at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
