Soccer Game Preview: Wilcox vs. Los Altos

Wilcox hasn't had much luck against Los Altos recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Wilcox Chargers will head out on the road to take on the Los Altos Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

Wilcox is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Homestead.

Meanwhile, Los Altos entered their tilt with Santa Clara on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over the Bruins. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Bruins are ranked 221st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Los Altos hit Santa Clara with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jonah Altschuler, Dylan Po, James Taylor, and Kapil Jakatdar.

Los Altos pushed their record up to 12-3-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three matches. As for Wilcox, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9-3.
