Volleyball Game Preview: James Madison Warhawks vs. Oakton Cougars + How To Watch

James Madison is 0-3 against Oakton since September of 2024 but things could change on Thursday. The Warhawks will look to defend their home court against the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, James Madison turned things around against Centreville on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Oakton got the win against Westfield on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Oakton not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Westfield between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16, 25-18.

Oakton's win bumped their record up to 16-2. As for James Madison, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-12.
