Basketball Recap: East Sac County Takes a Loss

East Sac County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 56-44 to the South Central Calhoun Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-26 back in December of 2024.

East Sac County's record now sits at 7-13. As for South Central Calhoun, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

East Sac County and South Central Calhoun could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings. East Sac County (ranked 258th) will meet Ridge View (ranked 72nd) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, South Central Calhoun will challenge Storm Lake at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday down 174 places (192 vs. 18).
