Football Recap: Chopticon Takes a Loss

Chopticon came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Huntingtown Hurricanes. The loss continues a trend for the Braves in their meetings with the Hurricanes: they've now lost seven in a row.

Jayden Chase threw for 218 yards on 13 of 24 attempts. Mar'Quann Swann was his top target, picking up 108 receiving yards.

Gabriel Copeland had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 157 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries for Huntingtown. Copeland's longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Kaleb Rice also helped with two scores in total.

Chopticon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Huntingtown, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Chopticon has already played their next matchup, a 40-0 loss against Great Mills on the 3rd. As for Huntingtown, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-16 win against St. Charles on the 3rd.
