Carmel has no trouble against Arlington

Recap: Carmel Rams vs. Arlington Admirals

With a playoff game on the line, the Carmel Rams rose to the challenge on Saturday. They strolled past Arlington with points to spare, taking the game 49-34. The win was familiar territory for Carmel who now have eight in a row.

Tristan Cash Werlau was his usual excellent self, rushing for 165 yards and two touchdowns. Cash Werlau's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. Leo Keesler-Venables and his 109 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Carmel's win.

Several Admirals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Michael Rescigno, who threw for 327 yards and four touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Luke Lavello also helped out as he racked up 165 receiving yards.

Carmel pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 15 points. As for Arlington, their defeat ended a 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-1.

Carmel will face off against Shenendehowa at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Ihsaan Alozie and Cash Werlau. Arlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
