It was a good run, but Colquitt County unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 47-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tift County Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Packers of the 63-48 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

JJ Lamar went supernova for Tift County, going 9 of 18 en route to 27 points. The dominant performance gave Lamar a new career-high in points. Marquavion Bell was another key player, putting up four points and six boards.

Colquitt County's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-3. As for Tift County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
