Smyrna has gone a perfect 7-0 against Dover recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagles will look to defend their home pitch against the Senators at 6:00 p.m.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Smyrna faced off against Sussex Tech on Tuesday. The Eagles fell just short of the Ravens by a score of 2-1. Smyrna fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Sussex Tech since on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dover). They beat Woodbridge by a goal, winning 2-1. Dover haven't had any issues with Woodbridge recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Smyrna's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Dover, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6-1.

Smyrna took their victory against Dover when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Senators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
