Basketball Game Preview: Blanchard Lions vs. Kingfisher Yellowjackets

Blanchard is 2-8 against Kingfisher since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Blanchard Lions will head out to take on the Kingfisher Yellowjackets at 8:00 p.m. One thing working in Blanchard's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.

Blanchard will head into Tuesday's game on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Chickasha on Tuesday. Blanchard claimed a resounding 64-28 victory over Chickasha. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Fighting Chicks are ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Kingfisher waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 57-46 win over the Racers.

Kingfisher is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Blanchard, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Blanchard strolled past Kingfisher in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 60-41. Will Blanchard repeat their success, or does Kingfisher have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
