There's no place like home for Providence, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They never let the Jennings County Panthers get on the board and left with a 5-0 win on Wednesday. The Pioneers were shut out 4-0 the last time they took on the Panthers, so the Pioneers were just returning the favor.

Providence let Kalen Sipes and Cole Huett run wild. Sipes went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Huett scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Lucas Mauk, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Providence is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Jennings County, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Providence will head out to face off against Clarksville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jennings County, they will be playing at home against Greensburg at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
