Soccer Game Preview: Pieper vs. Boerne

The Pieper Warriors will face off against the Boerne Greyhounds at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Pieper's last match might've seen six goals scored, but the final result was still a bit underwhelming. They and Alamo Heights finished up their matchup with a 3-3 draw on Tuesday. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Pieper have been dealt a draw since back in January.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Boerne was not quite Alamo Heights' equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the Mules by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Boerne's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

With that draw, Pieper's record moves to 7-2-4. As for Boerne, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Pieper beat Boerne 3-1 in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Greyhounds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
