The Cedaredge Bruins will take on the Centauri Falcons at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Cedaredge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season.
Cedaredge is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 22 runs on Saturday, they were much more limited against Gunnison on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Cowboys by a score of 4-2. The game marked the Bruins' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Cedaredge saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Sanders, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. Another was Makai Salazar, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Centauri made sure to put some runs up on the board against Sanford on Tuesday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 20-10 victory. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Warren Shelton was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kingston Jaramillo, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Centauri always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .628. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Cedaredge's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Centauri, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Cedaredge has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Centauri struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Cedaredge beat Centauri 11-8 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Do the Bruins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
