Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Royse City). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 69-67 victory over the Tyler Legacy Raiders on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 510th, while the Raiders are ranked 248th).

Despite the loss, Tyler Legacy still got an impressive performance from Ja'Corian Oes, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 14 boards. Oes' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zyere Ceasar, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 11 points.

Royse City's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Tyler Legacy, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

When Royse City and Tyler Legacy next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Royse City will try to stop Rockwall-Heath's four-game winning streak when the meet at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tyler Legacy will face off against Longview and their five-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
