Basketball Recap: Brandon James' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Vero Beach over Dwyer

Vero Beach was the 73-65 winner over Dwyer when they last played one another back in February of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell 61-50 to the Panthers on Friday. The loss put an end to the Indians' undefeated start to the season.

Vero Beach lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brandon James, who went 6-for-15 on his way to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Sanders, who shot 45% from the field en route to 13 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Vero Beach fell to 2-1. As for Dwyer, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Vero Beach has already played their next contest, a 60-56 loss against Royal Palm Beach on the 29th. As for Dwyer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-62 defeat against Saint Andrew's on the 29th.
