Volleyball Recap: Bartlett Comes Up Short

Bartlett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chugiak Mustangs. If the Golden Bears were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Bartlett sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-11.

Bartlett's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Chugiak, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Coming up, Bartlett will square off against West Anchorage at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chugiak, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against West Valley on the 23rd.
