 North Sanpete has not done well against Canyon View recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Friday. The North Sanpete Hawks came out on top against the Canyon View Falcons by a score of  8-5. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for North Sanpete.
  Andy Bailey was  excellent,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  RBI and a  double.  Wyatt Williams was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
 On Canyon View's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Trenton Ludlow, who  went 2-for-4 with  an  RBI. Ludlow has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 Even though they lost, Canyon View  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with 13  strikeouts. That's the most  strikeouts they've managed all season.
 North Sanpete's victory bumped their record up to 3-16. As for Canyon View,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 14-8-1.
 North Sanpete will stay at home for another  game and welcome Delta at 3:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Delta is coming into the  matchup with 11 straight  defeats on the road,  meaning North Sanpete will have to defend against a  squad hungry for a  win. As for Canyon View, they will  face off against Juab at 3:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Juab will roll in looking for their  11th straight  victory, something Canyon View surely won't give up without a fight.
