Nate Gaggin and Drew Jerome provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Harper Woods. The longest such play in Michigan Independent this season, the connection resulted in 54 yards.

University Liggett extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Pioneers, 39-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Knights.

University Liggett's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Gaggin threw for 332 and four touchdowns and Jerome had 164 yards receiving. On the ground Gaggin chipped in 44 yards. Kevaughn Jackson helped University Liggett's passing attack out by catching eight balls for 85 yards.

University Liggett's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Gaggin has thrown for 1394 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Jerome has 35 catches for 552 yards. Gaggin also leads the league in rushing with 543 yards.

A big matchup in Michigan Independent this week will be when Lou Ray's team takes on Parkway Christian. At the moment, the Knights are in first, while Parkway Christian is in third.

University Liggett moved up to 263 from 305 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 39-14 win over Harper Woods helped the Knights improve their standing.
