Baseball Recap: Spring Valley Victorious

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Spring Valley had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Carolina Forest Panthers 6-4. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 5-3 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2016.

Spring Valley's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ben Pierce, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave Pierce a new career-high. Daniel Bledsoe was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Spring Valley's victory bumped their record up to 13-16. As for Carolina Forest, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-10.

As of now, neither Spring Valley nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
