Recap: King's Christian vs. Sayre Sabres
King's Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Sayre on Friday as King's Christian made off with a 74-51 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as King's Christian also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2019.
King's Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Owen Atkins, who scored 23 points. Jason Brice was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
King's Christian's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Sayre, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
King's Christian will head out on the road to face off against Bristol at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sayre, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against First Philadelphia Prep at 3:15 p.m.
