Basketball Recap: Reavis Comes Up Short

Reavis was the 48-45 winner over Thornton Fractional South when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Reavis Rams had to suffer through a 64-31 loss at the hands of the Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 490th, while the Red Wolves are ranked 223rd).

Reavis has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Thornton Fractional South, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reavis will host Oak Forest at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st. As for Thornton Fractional South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oak Lawn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
